The Schomburg Center’s 2nd Annual
BLACK COMIC BOOK FESTIVAL
Friday, January 17 from 5:30-7:00 pm & Saturday, January 18, 2014 from Noon to 5pm



The 2nd Annual Black Comic Book Festival at the Schomburg Center celebrates the rich tradition of black comix in a two-day event featuring special events, panel discussions, film screenings, hands-on workshops and exhibit tables with premiere black comic artists from across the country.  Admission is free for the public and registration is encouraged at www.schomburgcenter.eventbrite.com.

The Schomburg Center’s Black Comic Book Festival is presented by the Junior Scholars Program in collaboration with Jerry Craft (Mama’s Boyz), John Jennings (Black Kirby) and Dr. Jonathan Gayles (Georgia State University).

At 7 pm we will head into the auditorium for a brief event kickoff with John Jennings, Jerry Craft and Jonathan Gayles. Introduction by Deidre Hollman of the Schomberg.
